Marco Traverso is a photographer and director born in Sardinia in September 1995. He grew up around Milan, where he went on to study music, film and fine art.

Based in Milan, Marco Traverso’s work is applied both in editorial and commercial projects. Since graduating from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in 2019, he has exhibited in Triennale in Milan and worked with clients such as Vogue Italia.

The personal connection to his birthplace, Sardinia, and the distance he had to grew up apart with has inspired him to use photography as a means to explore his identity, heritage and sense of belonging.

Recently, he moved to Paris to assist master printer Diamantino Quintas in his atelier, where he refined his darkroom ability and worked on artists archive such as Agnès Varda, Vivian Maier, Gilles Caron, James Barnor and many contemporary artists who have inspired his own artistic practice.
